Solutionreach announced today that its employees raised more than $40,000 in July and August for the Utah chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The 2019 Solutionreach Giving Games was a month-long competition between teams of employees. Four teams, led by the CEO, CFO, CPO, and COO, competed against one another to raise the most money. Solutionreach contributed additional money for team participation in a variety of activities such as a talent show, blood drive, and acts of kindness. Employees also got creative and hosted bake sales, silent auctions, and catered lunches.
This year, other philanthropic activities were planned to support organizations in Utah as well. Employees worked with the Women Build group from Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a family in the area. In addition, for their acts of kindness, many employees donated to food banks or shelters.
The Giving Games culminated in a company-wide closing ceremony on August 16, 2019. Employees and their families gathered to play games, share a meal, and celebrate the success of the month’s fundraising efforts.
“The Giving Games is everyone’s favorite time of year at Solutionreach,” said Jim Higgins, founder and CEO of Solutionreach. “It’s fun, but more importantly, it showcases the kindness and generosity of our employees. So many employees have seen the effects of blood cancer first hand, so everybody wants to get involved and raise money for LLS.”
Over the last six years, Solutionreach and its employees have collectively donated more than $270,000 to LLS through the annual month-long Giving Games competition. This money has been used to support research, education, and cost of care for those in need.
“We are truly grateful for the incredible support we receive from the amazing employees at Solutionreach,” said Stacie Kulp, Executive Director of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Utah Chapter. “It’s evident from the energy and passion they pour into their annual Giving Games, they are ALL IN when it comes to supporting LLS’s mission to cure blood cancer and support patients. Solutionreach is a leader in our community for employee engagement and community giving.”
